About my practice
At some point in our lives we all fall on hard times and face struggles that seem impossible to overcome and can leave us feeling lost and confused. Therapy allows us to make a commitment not only to ourselves, but also to our loved ones. Allow me to help guide you out of the confusion and into the life that you want for yourself. My approach is person-centered and solution-focused, which means you lead the session and work towards specific goals that are important to you. I integrate mindful concepts to build awareness and insight. With over 7 years of experience working in mental health, I can help you learn the skills you need to build and maintain your personal recovery.
My specialties include eating disorders, trauma, addiction, serious/persistent mental illness, EMDR, and yoga/mindfulness-based interventions. I have helped clients with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anorexia/bulimia, binge-eating disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, substance abuse, grief/loss, & borderline personality disorder.
For clients new to therapy it can feel uncomfortable to ask for help, but with time you will build the confidence you need to address the underlying issues behind unwanted behaviors and self-destructive habits that are holding you back. As the counselor, my role is to promote growth and provide support as you further on your journey to self-betterment.
